Railway Locomotive Part Diesel Power Devices Geislinger Elastic Damping Coupling
In recent years, the application of elastic couplings in diesel power devices has been increasing. It uses elastic components such as elastic plate assembly to transmit torque and provide elasticity and damping in the direction of torsion.
Due to the irreversibility of the diesel engine, the elastic plate component is made into an asymmetric type according to the force requirements, with 6 pieces in each group. Among them, 2 pieces of equal length (also the longest) are the main plates. In order to improve wear resistance, surface quenching is used at the head of the main plate that extends into the spline shaft. All sub film heads are locally thinned to increase elasticity and reduce stress. The elastic plates are made of 50CrVA steel, and each elastic plate is padded with a 0.2mm thick bronze gasket to reduce damping during deformation
of the elastic plate component and prevent scratches on the elastic plates. Each elastic plate component is threaded together by two elastic cylindrical pins with a diameter of 8mm.
